It's not your turn today.
I know you want in,
its just not your turn.
I will not answer the door.
You can not come in.
I'm going to let joy have a chance today,
if I have to hunt it down and
take it's knees out.
It will stop and see me on this day.
Kicking or screaming, I'm holding on.
You, however, will not be the one.
If I have to pray you away
dance you into another time,
I just will.
Get lost in little soilders and toy cars,
fixing dinner and singing praise
I just will.
Doing dishes and folding sheets.
Taking notes and ironing socks.
I just will.
Whatever I have to do,
you knock on some other door.
Go where you are welcome,
you have no place here.
